What's For Dinner Tonight? School Cafeteria Sloppy Joes

I made this sloppy joe recipe for tonight's dinner and decided to take a pictue of it. The recipe said the sloppy joes were served at a school cafeteria. I imagine it's a vintage recipe. Very kid-friendly and my family liked it! Of course, I had to double the recipe because of the crew around here.

School Cafteteria Sloppy Joes

Fry 1 pound of lean hamburger with 1 chopped onion. Drain and set aside in a skillet.

Mix the following with a whisk:
1/2 Cup Ketchup
1 Tablespoon Packed Brown Sugar
1/4 Teaspoon Mustard
1 Can Campbell's Tomato Soup (Undiluted.)
A Couple Shakes of Worcestershire Sauce
1/4 Cup Water

Pour the mixture over the meat and allow to simmer on low, uncovered, for about 20-25 minutes. It will thicken as it simmers. Once the pan is taken off the heat and cools for a while, it will really thicken up nicely. Take an ice cream scoop and serve on buns. You may add a little grated cheese, if you'd like. It's up to you.
