Reindeer Six-Pack~Merry Christmas!

This is where the original idea came from, using a 6 pack of root beer. (The name "Root Deers" is what I came up with! lol!) Unfortunately, I looked high and low for a 6 pack of root beer and couldn't find any, so I went with the 6 pack of Coke (under $3.00)~ Wouldn't you know, after making the reindeer with coke, I found the 6 pack of IBC Root Beer at another Walmart for only $2! Isn't that the way it always goes? ;o) This would be a nice little gift for the hard-to-buy-for men in your life or a "thinking of you" Christmas gift for the neighbors! I haven't done this yet, but I'm sure you could do the same thing to a liter bottle of root beer. This was my first 6-pack, however, on the next one, I think I'll put the eyes and nose up a little higher on the neck of the bottle. I was thinking what a great Christmas project this would be to make during the Summer months. You could probably buy the sodas for much less and they would definitely sit until Christmas.

I bought everything I needed at Walmart. This is what you'll need to make the reindeer:

6 pack of soda
Brown Pipe Cleaners
Red Pom-Poms for Nose (10 mm)
Googly Eyes (10 mm)
Bells
Narrow Ribbon

1. Take two brown pipe cleaners. Twist one below the bottom part of the cap. Cut the other pipe cleaner in half and twist each half around the middle part of each stem. Bend the stems to look like reindeer antlers. (See pics above.) If you don't want all those antlers, you can twist one pipe cleaner around the bottle and bend it in a zig-zag fashion.

2. Use a low-temp hot glue gun and glue the eyes and nose on the bottle.

3. Lastly, string your bell with narrow ribbon and tie it in the back. I like to cut one of the ribbon ends at a sharp slant/point. That way, it's eaiser to slide the ribbon through the bell. Snip off any excess and allow the bell to hang on the reindeer's neck.
