1 Cup Sugar
1 Cup Powdered Sugar
1 Cup Butter
1 Cup Vegetable Oil
2 Teaspoons Vanilla
2 Large Eggs
4-1/2 Cups Flour
1 Teaspoon Baking Soda
1 Teaspoon Cream of Tartar
2/3 Cups Finely Chopped Walnuts or Pecans
1. Preheat oven to 375°. Combine sugars, oil, butter, vanilla and eggs with an electric mixer until smooth.
2. In a smaller bowl, whisk flour, baking soda and cream of tartar together.
Slowly blend flour into wet mixture until well blended. Stir in nuts.
3. Bake on ungreased cookie sheets for approx. 10 to 12 minutes or until the edges are slightly golden.
Mix the following to make lemon glaze. It should be pourable, yet thick.
1 Cup Powdered Sugar
Place glaze in a baggie and snip off a teeny-tiny corner. Drizzle glaze on cooled cookies and allow to harden.
