Delicious Frosted "Nutcracker Sweet" Quick Bread

This recipe would make a wonderful Christmas gift and it's not too expensive too make. Enjoy the recipe below!

Mix Together With a Whisk:

1-1/2 Cups Flour
2 Teaspoons Ground Ginger

1 Teaspoon Ground Cloves
2 Teaspoons Cinnamon
1 Teaspoon Salt
1 Teaspoon Baking Soda

In Another Bowl, Blend the Following Ingredients Together:

1 Cup Sugar
1/2 Cup Butter
1 Cup Applesauce
Add: 1/2 Cup Chopped Walnuts or Pecans

Slowly blend the flour mixture into the wet mixture, just until combined.Pour into a greased/floured 9 inch pan and bake at 350 degrees for approx. 40 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the middle comes out clean.

For The Frosting:
Blend 2 Cups Powdered Sugar, 2 Teaspoons Vanilla, One 8 oz. Tub of Softened Cream Cheese and 5 Tablespoons of Butter With a Blender.
Frost Cooled Gingerbread.
