You may be thinking, "Well, that's a nice idea, but I can't sew." Think about what your talents are and how you can bless others with them. For example, maybe you have 4 large apples sitting in your refrigerator right now. How about pulling out your small saucepan and make some nice cinnamon apples for your elderly neighbor down the street? What a wonderful little heart gift that would be!
Maybe you know someone from church who has arthritis in her hands. What about making a couple of microwavable buckwheat hand warmers for her? Another nice heart gift!
What about the young woman with 3 kids and a husband who just got out of the hospital? What would it mean to her to have you bring a simple crock pot dinner and dessert to her door?
Your challenge for today is to think of a heart gift and pass it on!

Hi Lori Jean,
Love the tags and snagged them. I had made a large amount of strawberry raspbery freezer jam over the weekend. My 89 year old neighbor loves jams on her toast and and pbj sandwiches so I brought her over some of the jam. I had these aready made just waiting for someone to give them to. She had mentioned she was hungry for some jam but nothing at the store looked good to her. When I borught this over she was very surprised and thnakful and siad she knows what she is going to have in the morning! I had given her osem strawberry freezer jam earlier in the summer and she loved it so thought she could taste test the strawberry raspberry kind! Cathy
Cathy,
What a wonderful idea! I just love freezer jam! I made some freezer strawberry compote last year and it tasted sooo good in the winter! Such a treat to have out of season fruit during the winter.
I'm sure your neighbor truly appreciated your great heart gift!
Lori, gifts from the heart are the BEST! I want to share a gift that I received years ago and it was the gift of time from my friend. I have 5 children and my neice was also living with us at the time. My youngest daughter is developmentally disabled and required(s) a lot of time and care as she did/does not dress herself, relieve herself etc. My friend gave me the BEST Christmas present. Once a month she took my 2 youngest for the day. I would pick them up when the older kids got out of school. This gave me time to do whatever I wanted, clean house, shop, walk, sleep, lol, whatever. What a wonderful gift of time and honestly? It was the best gift I have EVER been given. I needed that time and to know that someone cared and understood........
I can think of so many ideas... the elderly neighbor that may need a trip to the store once a week....Coupon book full of car washes and other gifts of help for someone you know. A meal for someone home from the hospital of just had a new baby; take a lonely neighbor out to lunch or breakfast or invite over to a family dinner!
Lori Jean, I love the tags and have them saved, and will put them to use.
Don't forget your significant other...sometimes in the rush we overlook those we love the most. A coffee card; a trip to the gas station for them; a car wash...while they take a rest. :-)
