A very nice gal by the name of Ann B. has very generously shared her CUTE Fall scrapbooking project with me. Thank you Ann B.! This is such an easy craft and you could adapt this to ANY holiday....Christmas, Valentine's Day, etc.! Enjoy Ladies! Please see instructions below:
Use scrap pieces of wood and scrapbooking paper to make a cute, but inexpensive, decorative item.
Cut your scrap wood to any size of blocks…mix and match. The fall/boo blocks were 1 ½ inch squares. The USA blocks were a mix of 1 ½ in. and also 1 ½ x 3 in.
Spray paint your blocks (I used the $1 cans of paint from Wal-Mart)
Cut scrapbooking paper slightly smaller than your wood pieces, varying the paper designs/color.
(for the 1 ½ inch blocks, I cut the papers 1 ¼ inches.)
Adhere the papers to your blocks. (I used Martha Stewart paste; but, you can use decoupage or your favorite paste or glue)
Cut your letters with your die cutter; or, use rub-ons or chipboard alphas. If you have a steadier hand than I, you could even paint your letters . Adhere them to the blocks/scrapbooking paper.
(I used Tombow Mono Aqua Liquid Glue; but, you can use your favorite glue or decoupage.)
If you use the 1 ½ inch blocks, you can squeeze 4 of them into a quart-sized freezer bag. I cut the top off the baggie and tied with a ribbon. I found the acorn jingle bells at Hobby Lobby.
Change up the colors and papers and add words like Joy, Peace, Easter, Spring, etc.
** Cut out graphics of the Nativity and adhere to various sized blocks to make a nice wooden Nativity scene for hours of fun for your children/grandchildren**
Have fun!
